We can still compete imo. We are not all that far off to win the league. It could happen with the current squad. but we don't have to spend silly money. But we can still afford to make the occasional special purchase like Ozil.

Apart from all this striker talk. I don't really think we need to spend another 40 million on this position. It would be nice. But but we are a bit short on numbers for that role.

Sure we've made some bad buys in the past but just look at Tottenham's spending over the years. They've blew the Bale money (they may work out in the long term)
