Yes, he should have spotted bendtner but he was doing the right thing, walking away from the ball to take as long as possible in taking the throw, at a time when we really need to hold things for a moment.

Bloody harsh to have a go at him for that.

As you say, most of the rest seemed happy to lump it up field instead of keeping hold of it. He really ought to have been on to the one on one laid out before Bendtner though.

Having heard Jenks get interviewed twice in the last week, I can confirm that sadly he makes Joey Essex seem like a mensa candidate.

Jenks took just 2 throws, the first one was a normal throw with lots of Newcastle defenders in their own half and the 2nd was the one being mentioned above.

For me, he did the right thing by not getting in a rush with the throw-in.

The first one he took (the one at around 80 mins) was where he wasted 10 sec's or more.
