View Full Version : A great win but I'm not convinced we've yet mastered the art of closing out a game.

Every time we throw on defenders at the expense of our creative players , we end up unbalancing the system and conceding possession.
Hoofing clearances into empty space is not what we're about.

Pace on the counter is a crucial outlet when you drop off.

How Santi and Jack lasted the 90 is beyond me.

It has, though, been effective, both to see us to top spot half-way through this season and to stage a remarkable fightback to fourth last season.

I agree about Chelsea though - they are the masters at ensuring that no football gets played in the last minutes of a game when they have a one goal lead.

As I have explained above, Newcastle came on to us with numbers as they had no choice, even their goalie came up, why is it so difficult for you to understand?
