What won should I buy Awimb?

with Christmas bonus burning a hole in my pocket.

Ideally I would by an iPhone but I don't want to be locked into any new contracts or buy the phone outright.

So I was thinking either
iPod touch.
iPad mini. It's not much difference in price from the ipod touch.

or iPad air. I don't know they all have benefits. Ideally I'd buy all of them.

I like the ipod touch as I can carry it everywhere.
but then the iPad is good for travelling. but then again the full size iPad is not much different in size to my macbook. and it's expensive to get won with a decent memory size.

Maybe i will buy won in the US as it seems to be cheaper.

Or buy a NExus 7, which has much the same specs and is £200 cheaper.

and very fast in comparison to previous iPads. I just don't see the point in the mini

But some of them are bloody marvellous. Take PowerAMP for example. By far the most comprehensive and customisable music player I've ever come across, it's brilliant.

That's Android all over though, customisability, and I love that about it. Until Google make it less and less open source of course.

the tv box I bought is android and not bad.

Android seems plastic and cheap. I like the widgets on the phone though.

I'm not even getting into the fact that the £5 parental control app we use constantly just stops filtering content for no reason.

Widgets are great, customisation, and above all else. NO f**kING ITUNES o/

We're past the point where people have to put up with stuff not working, it's only people who voluntarily use windows that still put up with that nowadays.

I'd rather just not have something that doesnt work, or pay the extra for something that does.

Besides, I like the tinkering, hence have rooted my phone etc. Can see the appeal of Apple and loved my 3GS, but just not prepared to pay the premium. IME, Android does some things better and Apple vice versa.

Given it's so **** already I'm reluctant to break it any further and life is far, far to short to bother with all that **** anyway.
