Movie Sequels that are essentially the same movie as the first won. Home Alone 2 is the same

as Home Alone 1 imo.

Running late for flight leads to kid getting left behind/lost.
Then the same crims are after him in both movies.

1st movie had a weird old bloke. 2nd one had a weird old bird lady.
he was scared of both of them then they both turn out to be nice and friends of his. When in doubt amplify the activity. In the first movie he steals a toothbrush. the 2nd one he is committing elaborate credit card fraud using a tape recorder to book a room and a fake story upon check in.

Police Academy is the biggest offender of this. Some of the movies are almost exactly the same. They just change the jokes/pranks a bit.

Any other movies where the sequels are just the same thing?

although I confess to only having seen 1 & 2 but I think I can safely assume a similar theme in 3rd.

Men get drunk, wake up somewhere odd, lose someone and need to find that someone and get back somewhere for a certain time
