the other half decided to download some dodgy program of the web. and now since then all our browsers when u load them up load up with the Aartemis home page. Ive tried all sorts of fixes but all they are, are virus programs that want to charge u after scanning your pc. also tried changing the home page ect but just goes back after next time opening

Have a look at the webuser forum:

In the past i have found them useful although it can be a slow process.

I use the below, both free =>

CCleaner : http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

Malwarebytes: www.malwarebytes.org (http://www.malwarebytes.org)

It actually uses Malwarebytes but that alone wouldn't get rid, it's a **** of a program that just keeps coming back unless you follow all those steps.

I'd recomend you bookmark that site too, as it's very handy.

Those programs should rid your PC of the malware...

Good luck..

...to throw that windows based piece of 1980s technology in the bin and buy a Mac. Other than that, listen to the experts on here!

Both free downloads. Both infinitely superior to McAfee/Norton and all that crap.
