View Full Version : Lateness is something that I can't stand. And unfortunately in the office world it seems

acceptable for everything not to be on time.

There is always 'I just need to finish this' 'or we are waiting for such and such'

Meetings scheduled on time never start on time.
People visiting think it's acceptable to come 30 mins late and it's fine.

They arrange something at 11.30 and then by 12:15 still waiting.
Or you organise to leave all at a certain time and it never happens.

This is bad practice. People should make a commitment and stick to it.

Such is my dislike of being late, though, that I have a terrible habit of turning up to places ludicrously early and then being forced to lurk for up to an hour.

if I'm not somewhere 5 minutes early, I feel like I am late.

The only exception is football, I seem to miss most kick offs (both first and second half).

We actually touched upon the subject of abortion a couple of weeks ago. Her disgust at the idea suggests to me that if we ever end up in that situation, I may struggle to convince her it is the best thing to do...
