To me what isn't, in effect, nationalised?

This system is so monstrously ridiculous, no one can see the wood for the trees.

Or ask a friend or relative to drop you off.

A monkey, as such, on parking? Good lord.

Madness.

No, a chap drives himself to and from the airport. That drive to the airport, filled with anticipation and feeling a little sorry for all the other poor joes on the road who aren't off on a great adventure. Possibly listening to the Kermode and Mayo film review podcast. Then after a lengthy period away and a long, long flight home, what better feeling than to slide into one's own seat and truly feel oneself on home turf again?

I am not here to preach instructions to others.

He could however make alternate arrangements and spend the balance on champagne and cocaine.

However at least £400 of the £500 cost is to allow your vehicle to sit in a car park in Heathrow when it could well sit outside your home, for free.

You could even pay a friend a small but agreed sum to drive the vehicle to the airport on the day of your return and in this scenario you both are winners.

Heathrow loses.

£500 for how long?

Steve Williams - gay for Mark Knopfler
12-09-2013, 02:46 PM
To him £700 is nothing. Everything is relative.

However for a chap to pay that for a one-off experience, the buzz of driving such a car which for certain people would be an attraction.

Good lord.

Have you tried Purple Parking down there.

http://www.purpleparking.com/Book/quote?source=ONLIN&dep arture=16%2F12%2F2013&return=17%2F01%2F2014&airport= LHR&departureDate=Mon+16+Dec+2013&departureTime=0600 &returnDate=Fri+17+Jan+2014&returnTime=2015&prom o= (http://www.purpleparking.com/Book/quote?source=ONLIN&departure=16%2F12%2F2013&return=17%2F01%2F2014&airport=LHR&departureDate=Mon+16+Dec+2013&departureTime=0600&returnDate=Fri+17+Jan+2014&returnTime=2015&promo=)

You'll be courtesy coached over to the actual airport terminal from the Southall parking area.
Much cheaper.

Or Park on a residential road without parking restrictions in the Hounslow area and get a mini-cab to the airport.
