Things started well with excellent hommos Beyruti, kabis and simply divine flatbreads - but the shawarma was a little anaemic, perhaps produced to suit the requirement for blandness from the local customers, who would, I imagine, be the feckless wasters who teach the overgrown kids in the schools in Oxford.

A sad day.

On Friday, however, I ate the finest Chinese food available in the UK. Sojo in Oxford. Unbelievable. Knocks Royal China, Paul Tang and Hakkasan into a coolie hat.
