Have they simply lost their bottle, or have they been overly intimidated by that Aussie 'chucker'.

and Johnson bowled a 95mph delivery that beat Cook for pace

Nothing more, nothing less.

Losing the toss on a flat wicket and not taking catches doesn't help

can't get a run. Johnson's always been dangerous when his radar's working. Plus the Aussies are batting in home conditions. The gap between the sides was never as wide as last summer's series result suggested.

Brett Lee looked like he chucked it at times, so does Malinga.

His arm looks pretty straight to me in real time, would be interesting to see him on super slow mo

reason you don't see many bowlers like that at the top level is that it's very hard to control. He and Malinga are the only successful examples I can think of.

Do they have it in them to keep on to the ashes ?

Add to that the other opener, whoever it is, hasn't exactly been piling them on and you have a batting line up that is often 2 down for not very much.

It was deliberate and he seemed to cut it out later in his career.

maybe not

Or his action in his later career when I saw him play most was done with a slightly lower arm

the batsman would often be unsettled by it, not knowing if it would come again and he would end up with a fairly cheap wicket.

at times I thought it was a baseball pitcher bowling in the T20.

straight enough, though.

In 85, i seem to remember him being pretty roundarm, though, yes.

I think this test will be a draw, we'll lose in Perth, win in Melbourne and then it will be down to Sydney to see if we can retain it.

had Haddin been caught and them 6 down for 260, they may have struggled to get 350.

We seem to have forgotten that a test is over 5 days when we bat, it's all too frenetic at times.
