we lost.
Then won 2 games in a row.

United 1 then drew 2 games in a row.

So out of 3 games we've got 6 points they have 5.

We will drop points now and again. But these teams who we are in contention also have to play each other and I am not that convinced with any of the other teams so far in the league. We are playing the best football and we are playing best as a team in a league.

could be interesting.

This could all change in a second though.

. A draw's only marginally better than a defeat. Well yeah, when 3pts are up for a win.
. Mini League Myth. The big games only take on more of a consequence *if* everyone's dropping points against the also rans.
This season being the best example I can remember where the mini league has been almost irrelevant, up to this point.

2008, I think, we were five or eight points clear when we went to Birmingham in February. Eddy snapped his leg, Willy had a wetty and it all turned to **** from there.

Irrespective of how well we're curently doing, anything more than a fourth place finish would still be an over achievement

The mini-league thing was OK but it went downhill from there. I'm concerned that a man of words, such as Monty, places so much fait in these statistical pieces though.

Surely his should be the land of rhetoric and anecdote, these numbers are beneath him.

....ng I genuinely didnt, or couldnt, know.

This stuff is fairly prosaic empirical evidence stuff. You often mocked the blog world saying they have too much time on their hands, this piece is surely the apogee of that.

2010 we really blew it

In a way we've continued that great run this season.....our only losses coming because of an incompetent referee vs Villa and when most of the team was sick vs United.....in light of the illness a 1nil defeat can be viewed as a fine result.

One big thing I noted last season was how weak I felt the league was.....there were some really bad teams in it.....commentators call it competitive....I say it's crap....that's why a little improvement from the likes of us and Southampton have seen us rise to better positions in the league this season.....apart from a few clubs the league is really really ****.

We've got 25 games left to play and we need 19 wins.

As a result, Chelsea will fall short.

City are the outstanding team in the league, but if they don't sort out their away form in the next month or so, they'll be too far behind.

It's sooooo on.

Making poor Aaron wait for his player of the season awards is childish as well

Should be 4 for a win....the current ration makes a draw too attractive...make teams play for the win IMO.
