View Full Version : So this Morata fella that it's being widely reporting is joining us next month on loan - how good is

he?

Obviously very promising and shouldn't be bothered by sitting on the bench for most games - but should get more game time than Giroud and allows us to let Bendtner go, which we couldn't do in the summer because of lack of options.

Seems like a mutually beneficial move to me - but is he actually any good yet? If Giroud f**ks himself for the rest of the season, is he good enough to play as a lone striker, week in, week out.

I have given up on Sanogo already.

the 52k a week salary is not something another club would pay... i guess he'll be happy to sit on his backside and negotiate a signing on fee at whichever club he joins this summer

We are not in the league cup anymore so he is not required in any capacity.

another club for him to leave in the summer, but because Arsenal couldn't get a replacement for him (Ba), Arsene said he was not allowed to leave.

If he did allow him to leave we could have actually had zero first team strikers.

everything was supposedly agreed. So hopefully whichever club we made the agreement with still wants him in Jan.

Should make a couple of million out of it.

‘An agreement had been reached with more than one club this week but as Arsenal were unable to secure the services of another striker, they reserved their right to not sanction any deal to be concluded.

‘Naturally, I was very disappointed as I was looking forward to a new challenge, with a new club and a fresh start in English football.

and actually no club of any decent standing wanted him?

The chances of getting any money for him is zilch imo, if we could save some of his wages it would be a bonus

press, do you not think Arsene might interject at some point?

I completely understand why Arsene wouldn't let him go - he's not a bad player - he scored 2 goals against Italy a few weeks ago, for instance. And if he had to play then I'm sure he could put away some simple chances.

We couldn't take the risk of having no strikers - we'd have to play Afobe or something.
