season, after Olly got a red card.

We won them all.

Ok, we weren't playing mind-blowing footie, but we didn't during most of that great run after the spuds defeat.

If Poldi was fit, and has had a few games or sub appearances, and got into the groove, he could cover for Olly if Olly was missing for a couple of games.

Ok, he doesn't have the hold-up play and flick-ons of Olly, but he can create (remember 5-1 vs WHU last season), he can score (two great goals just before he got injured this year) and as they showed on MotD, our CF is basically just one of our front 5 who play all over the place.

I don't see why they don't think Poldi could do that.

MotD showed how Olly would be out wide with Rambo, Jack, Santi, Ozzy or Flamster in the CF role, so why can't Poldi do that?

If Poldi was fit and on form, would anyone be pissed off if we didn't buy this Jan and just had Poldi as our back (+ plan B) CF?

Personally think the Ox could play up front but not this season now given bad injury but has the size speed intelligence and technique.

Podolski can play there and has a decent goal scoring record but think he would benefit more coming in from left and getting onto this slid passes from Ozil and the like between CH and FB and element missing lately with Walcott out but could have on both flanks.

Still think we need an out and out striker as cover for Giroud myself as though think we can cover with some players we will fall short if it came to having to replace Giroud
