if that happens then he should consider a short term fix, it would be criminal to jeapordise our effort by backing Giroud up with Bendtner. We've got away with it so far, but you can see the games catching up with Giroud already.

Bendtner isn't even worth considering as an alternative over a season.

average armchair punter? If we are ahead at the halfway point it is certainly not a fantasy to believe that we can go the whole way. If it then doesn't happen it doesn't mean he was wrong.

Someone who contributes more than Bendtner would be a start. Even a decent loan might be enough. Podlolski might be an option, but his hamstring injury is a bit worrying. It's been months.

We probably wouldn't have went unbeaten without him. He certainly made a significant contribution. People write him off as a failure unfairly imho.
