turn up. I got fined but because I could provide a receipt showing I had paid my tax prior to its due date it was dropped and the DVLA issued a replacement tax disc.

to display it. It is an offence not to display a valid tax disc. As well as being an offence not to have one at all.

Not sure now. The information is controlled by computer, if you fail to renew your tax disc within an appropriate time, you can get fined.

Register with dvla on line and they will send you a reminder to renew.
