to original number ?
eg. I have some numbers which have been marked up 40% so I need to take this off to find original number ( so I can then work out a 17% surchare of that) then add that to my original marked up 40% number.
I think Im being :homer: so far taking off 28% gets very close to returning a number to its original if you had 40% of it.
120 + 40% = 168 - 28% = 120.96 ... whats the formula though for it to be exact and work on any number so I can knock up a spreadsheet to do it..im being thick.. and cant even find it on google!
