I've come to the conclusion that Roger Waters ranks very close to the top.

I've rediscovered the man. Fantastic.

I'm willing to go so far as to classify "the Final Cut" as one of Pink Floyd's best records.

What a tedious bunch of ****ers they are/were.

Pros and cons, Radio CHAOS, Amused to death.

Pink Floyd after Waters was very, very dull.

some kind of rebellious uproar against the older generations.

"Hah, don't think you oldies can come here and brag with your fancy Pink Floyd, they're ****e!"

for the trite, whining, self-pitying, solipsistic, saloon bar socialists that they are.

And I'm trying to be polemical, ffs! Enough with the balance and the reason, already.

Great if you are stoned but a lot of the time i am not. Pretentious *******s, innthe main.

The voice is just another instrument. It might as well be reading the shipping forecast for all I care. There are a handful of songwriters I like with lyrics containing some literary merit but on the whole I don't give a toss.

For me lyrics, and their delivery, make up about 50% of the whole thing. More if they are good.

Peter

As much as i like the phrase :-)

Peter

Take the vocal melody and lyrics put of most songs and there is virtually nothing to listen to.

Apart from zeppelin of course

complain. First world problems, nothing more.

Either you listen to the sort of music which just serves as wallpaper behind a singer, or you don't know how to hear what's there.

Or i am?

Let us not restrict the possibilities here.

Maybe you just listen to music with **** lyrics. Or maybe you dont know how to hear them.

Or maybe we just see things differently and there is no right or wrong, just different people living different lives. And maybe we should celebrate that?

Oh, and if you ever use the phrase 'checked my privilege. To me again, I will come and vomit in your kettle. :-)

And i am getting concerned that somebody is going to start droning on about the genius of the clash. It isually happens.

Nobody os going to convince me that tommy gun is a piece of art.

Sir Charlie of Nicholas

I would have expected you to realise that, tbh.

Months ago I saw a catering kettle in a kitchen store. 3 litres of boiling water! I bought it, secure in the knowledge that my current kettle would soon cease to function, as they do, and I would then have, in reserve and ready to go into action, my mahoosive preofessional kitchen kettle.

The old one won't break. It just keeps on working :-(

upset the crowd immensely, so Bruce and his lovely wife Gwyneth Paltrow came home with v and me and we had a barbecue, during the course of which Bruce cuddled me continually. :cloud9:

Berni

Why do you need a professional kettle? What are you using all this boiling water for?

Sir Charlie of Nicholas
