and with the ball, we have the quality to open teams up.

At least we don't have to rely on scoring 4 or 5 goals a game to feel totally safe!

That cockiness is a big part of what makes him such a good keeper.

Interesting to hear cazorla saying that wenger is on them constantly this year about mistakes and focus. Its the only way to make it work.

not something he used to say.

I assume he just meant that.

I wasnt livid about that actually. It was quality break at high speed and quality goal. Nothing like the way we used to get exposed.

trying to force the win. I was annoyed at that, not the defeat, but we gave away 2 goals, one through a bit of over confidence, the other by over committing.

We will learn from that ;-)

But i sort of assumed it was the significance of it that got to wenger. Perhaps not.

Either way, we saw these improvements in shape last season. It might be time to start thinking that steve bould has made a bit of a difference. Our best centre back pairing in a decade doesnt hurt either :-)

shame that they defended so high and we didn't press the ball properly. Made us too easy to turn. Oh, and we had Manuel in goal.

Wasnt great at working with others :-)

A team that keeps its shape still needs to defend balls ito the box and without question, per and kos win this hands down. Much better than gallas and kolo in the air.

should have worked in IT :hehe:

They definitely were not a case of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts.

The problem with Per and Kos, last season, were that Per played offside, Kos went with the runner. We conceded a few goals with the player going in to the space behind Per. Add to that the set pieces.

This season we seem to have corrected most of that. It also helps that we have had a settled back 4.
