View Full Version : They turn the traffic lights off in Italy after 11pm to just flashing amber lights. Good idea imo

I read they sampled this over here in some areas.

They have a different attitude over there. They look at you strangely when you put your seatbelt on.

So the whole country is now a free dumping zone....is that true HPH?

Max was so pissed he fell out of it and lay in the gutter, giggling. The coppers gabbled for a bit, then took his driving licence from his wallet and f**ked off, sort of gesturing that I should drive him home.

The next day his dad made a phone call, and an hour later a copper brought his licence round to his house.

Proper order, really.

This was 20 years ago, so things may have changed now.

many of the very fancy cafes are mafia money laundering fronts.

I also think it's funny to see English being used to make things sound exotic :cloud9: Like the reverse here. However the ATM settin in English made no sense at all.

And some of the tv shows are sponsored by McVitties Digestives. Biscotti Inglesse.

But I like all the Italian bread stuff :cloud9:

They have a bread which is like a pizza base but fried. :cloud9:

Naples is not mafia its Camorra , then you have different areas having different groups, the mafia is not currently the strongest.

each region of italy is very different and almost independent so no one has control across the country so in answer to your question..no

as dad worked for Olivetti heading up some project..then have been back quite a lot..they still happily jump red lights in front of police but the key is to do it slowly i.e stop ..look left and right then if clearish jump across. Police fine with that.

Tobago and some places in US do the flashing orange too plus you can turn left on a red in tobago ( they drive on left)

I'm sure Italy's lovely and everything, but if things were all ok there why is nearly every cafe in the Covent Garden area run and staffed by Italians?

mess.

And there is supposed to be a financial crisis but people still somehow to afford 700 euro Armani Jackets.

Seems looking good is number 1 priority. Even the pensioners are fully suited everyday with the sunglasses.

Canada is still on but I have suggested we may purchase a property in Italy at some point if it's possible.
