devices need to be switched off on take off and landing.

Are there any record of this causing problems? as I would say most people do not switch off all their devices.

I remember in the early 90's they even were saying game boys were affecting the planes equipment.

And when you fly a crap airline who have to give you the safety demonstration. Does this help you in anyway locate the emergency exits. waving your arms in a camp half arsed manner also seems pointless.

Back on the liquids thing. I think it's rather silly you can't take any liquids through. But the second you leave security you are surrounded by liquids in many forms for sale.

How do they screen all these liquids coming in?

Aircraft in the hopes that 500 people all turn off their phones and ipads. Its all *******s. I suspect it is something to do with rules or insurance, or the rules relating to their insurance. Same with the safety instructions- they have to tell you but dont give a f**k whether you listen or not.

The liquids thing is just standard security horse****. People feel safer when they are treated like ****.

The people who survive crashes are the ones who have taken note of where the nearest exit is, and, amidst the dark and the smoke and the screams, elbow their way to one and get out.

I have a little trick for this but I'm not going to share it with youse, lest you get in my way one day.

It appears to take forever for average joe to get to his seat and stop messing around.

300 people trying to get to an exit door in the dark perhaps filled with smoke. No chance.

When we beat West Brom to finish above Spuds.

We were landing just as the games were finishing and I was sitting with a Spuds fan whom I had had a £20 bet with from the beginning of the season on who would finish higher.

So I asked the stewardess whilst in the air if it was possible for the captain to let us know the results as soon as he knew. She replied by telling me to just leave my phone on and that I could expect to get 3G from about 3,000 feet. Good luck she said!
