Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has revealed that he wants to move to either Real Madrid or Barcelona when he leaves the Emirates.

The 25 year-old, who has previously described himself as 'one of the best strikers in the world' could be set to leave the Gunners in January after failing to impress as back-up to Olivier Giroud this season.

But the Dane's underwhelming form has not seemingly stunted his ambition.

When asked whether he is purely motivated by money, Bendtner told Politiken: "I do not. It is the sport that is the most important. I'm going somewhere where I know I can be happy to play.

"With a team where I can score goals and preferably to win something. I do not want to be sitting on the bench and staring. I love playing lots of games."

Then, when asked where he envisages his career will continue Bendtner, who has scored 22 goals in 101 appearances for Arsenal replied: "If I could decide, Real Madrid or Barcelona."

What's unreasonable about that?

he'd play for "If I could decide."

Why try to knock a bloke for saying something utterly reasonable?

would it be reasonable to say "If I could decide, I would like to rule the world".

It might be true, but is it a realistic thing to say?

It isn't *that* unbelievable that a player playing up front for Arsenal could become the best in the world, and i'd rather our players had that sort of confidence than not

"Yes, I believe it is possible."

Not, "Yes we WILL go unbeaten", but "I believe it to be possible."

I suppose the reason newspapers are able to print headlines which bear no relation to the article are that morons lap them up.

I'm just reading Bergkamp's book and he mentions that Wenger was really really desperate to convince the players what an achievement it would be to go the season unbeaten, but the players weren't overly bothered about it (after they had won the league, they went on wind down mode).

I also forgot that we were 3-0 down to Middlesborough with 27 mins left, and won the game 5-3, to go 42 games unbeaten

That 'Boro game was amazing. The odd thing is how inevitable it felt. I knew, even at 1-3, that we'd batter them.
