Do not panic. This is not a clever ruse to expose something stupid you may have once said about Arsenal.

Plus, of course, the aisle offers a critical extra few inches of leg room.

in order to fabricate a deluded sense of control and stave off the interminable fear of imminent death?

At best, a naive fool. At worst, a traitor.

I seek not his approval. I seek no man's approval.

I have a friend who refuses to use the toilet on a plane. He is also scared of cucumber.

Window seat man, obviously.

two hours from the Portuguese coast.

Plane had 30 minutes of gliding time before hitting the sea. Passengers were told to brace for landing on water and had all of that time to contemplate their gruesome fate. Plane reachd an airport in the Azures 15 minutes before having to ditchin the sea.

So now I have that scenario to add to my already lengthy list of reasons to hate flying :-(

"Hmm, I can see one wing is attached and there are no flames coming from this engine. Everything must be fine then, after all, what else could be wrong?"

The Sky Gods sense your fear. It's generally people like you who end up in a cartwheeling fireball.

My girlfriend worries about having a natural birth because she's tiny but she still thinks she'd rather do it the natural way.
