Everyone he agrees he has improved, but apart from his finishing, *how* has he improved?

His passes are a gnat's more accurate, so they work more often. He's getting into the right space to close it down just in time rather than a second too late. He's striking the ball a fraction earlier.

Confidence. Hand brake off. And so on.

He may also be physically slightly stronger, allowing him to do things more accurately.

He was guilty of slowing up the play quite considerably up until the second half of last season, where as now he is much more direct both in his movement and positioning but also his decision-making.
