Shouldn't we take it as a compliment that for the first time since 2004/5 they are saying this sort of thing?

Watching the first half last night, all I could think was Dortmund have shown United how to try and combat our passing. I don't for a second thing United will be as effective as Dortmund at this style as it's not their natural game, so we should be able to create chances on Sumday.

he's a United fan, he wants them to win.

I used to want the likes of Steve Williams and Tony Adams to kick the **** out of the opposition because it gave us a better chance of winning.

I'm probably meeting up with some United fans I know before the game, if not I may wander over to that bar you will be in.

I also see that he has massive respect for Arsenal and Arsene Wenger, it is plainly obvious when he speaks about us. Last night he went as far as to say that if his team can't win a trophy, then we're the team he wants to win it.

In a sense he's admitted that the only way they were able to beat us at times was by cheating - and that they got away it.

We won the league in 1989 and 1991 with what was regarded as a worse squad than Liverpool's, we did so because we got stuck in and battled in games that we weren't necessarily expected to win.

We won at Anfield in both of those seasons, having not won there for 15 years before 1989.

You do what it takes to win, especially if the ref lets you.
