of a season, this has diminished most years since the late 80's imo... every side can win something with a bit of luck, but for most it is a shock rather than expected imo

they're broke. For years they had a bigger stadium than us and every chance of being just as successful as we were.

How many years have Everton gone without a trophy? It's funny that we never hear this statistic.

and have had little money to spend, so the expectations on the manager and the club are a lot less than a manager who has won 11 cups and has been at a team who have constantly won things over the last 25 years or so

Historically, there's no reason why it should be so, except that they've made poor decisions (like hiring Moyser) and we haven't and we simply don't get enough credit for that while they seem to get off very lightly.
