were you actually out n about in the 70's / 80's in UK ? it was not queensbury rules, one on one , any honour..its was fecking savagery... nothing changes thats all

I'm not saying all fights were one v one, but the vast majority. There was also no kicking on the ground, people were allowed back to their feet if they had been knocked down.

view tbh ..plus my mate at university was from Belfast and when he was home for xmas in 2nd year he got battered round the head with a baseball bat from behind then his head stamped on and one knee multiple stamped on by 3 blokes outside a kebab shop..this was in 88 or 89 ...and his Belfast stories were generally about savage beatings ..and no fairplay mentioned in them
