I had to search for the one, single pixel on a reply button that was active to comment on the NASCAR branch below.

How much should we pay Chris+ to be rid of this abomnination? A fiver each a year should do it, surely.

It was well boss when everyone kept exploding, driving into eachother or careering into stuff. The drivers earn more than ever before, the least you could do would be to give them some missiles, tortoise shells or banana skins.

Funnily enough, I never really got that film. I mean it's got Hans Solo in it as a future cop fighting cyborg ladyrobots and that bloke from the Guinness adverts. It should be cool but it just ends up trying too hard somehow.

I think it's because it's made by advertising's Ridley Scott

I'd love the Guns n Roses guitarist to name his twin kids Forward and Back.

Not too different from the one that Killed Dan Wheldon the other year. A GP2 driver survived a car landing on his head on Saturday, and Alonso was nearly decapitated last year in Spa. The Porsche Supercup leader Sean Edwards was killed recently, and Maria De Villota died from her F1 testing injuries the same week. Allan Simonson was killed at Le Mans this year. A few years ago I watched Henry Surtees (son of John) get killed at Brands Hatch.

It's still dangerous.

It's a shame, much like heavyweight boxing it just doesnt capture the popular imagination any more.

I didn't fully appreciate it at first, mainly because I'm a bit squeemish about fingers getting broken. The whole audio and visual texture is magnificent though. Perhaps there's also an early eighties wannabee futurist things about it. Yeah, so the future's **** but it's still cool.

Now we have the future, and it's at best, only good-ish. Sci-fi is obsolete now.

And she might not have been an actress but god, she was gorgeous. Gave Lauren Bacall a run for her money as an iconic smokerette.
