Am I the only one that is perfectly happy for anyone to downplay us? I like there being no expectation whilst the team picks up result after result.

As soon as people start saying we are favourites you can be sure that we'll crumble and finish 4th.

The fact of the matter is that we are 5 points clear and have probably looked the best team in the league so far.

I made quite a bit from 98 until then but I felt a bit flat before the 2007/8 season and missed it. I always had the 'saved' £50 to fall back on at the end of the season. :-)

The question wasn't "Will Arsenal win the league" but "can". 25% of the season is gone, and we're 5 points clear. This doesn't suggest that we will win the league, but it certainly suggests that we could.

"Yes, they can. They're far from favourites, have a much shallower squad than City or Chelsea, but certainly look strong at present and, with players due to return from injusry, could get stronger.
