Russell brand wowed me with his eloquence and wit, not to mention boffing Katie Perry. However Jeremy-from-Peepshow's argument is also very persuasive.

and denouncing people for being 'complicit' in the capitalist system that creates it, whilst living in a LA mansion and taking the Hollywood dollar.

His interview with the WBC is quite good, though.

How about Jeremy-from-Peepshow?

Al Murray is reasonably sound. The rest I'd rather not listen to.

They up-sold me a 2lb beast for £35 (their 1.5 pounder was a mere £20). I panicked and agreed. It barely touched the sides and I had to order more chips to fill me up.

Might as well have gone somewhere propet like Randall & Aubin :-(

You know. Back in the day when people were both original and funny.

Probably one of the very few to keep the milligan / cook axis alive amongst a tide of very average comics

You just arent looking hard enough, you're probably more likely to find it on podcasts or youtube than you are on BBC1 and Michael Counting McIntyre's Skippy c**t at the Apollo show.

PS I agree about Vic Reeves, this is the best thing he's ever done imo

mainstream stuff frequently can be very good, it's just not seen as "cool" to like it

Some of it, is of course, utter gash

Comedy-Drama!

BBC2! That's literally right next to BBC1!

Seriously though, a lot of the problem is that it's just not part of the schedules any more. Friday night on C4 used to be wall-to-wall comedy, now it's about people with festering boils or prolapsed rectums.

The Dorchester wouldn't be what springs to mind when I fancy a Chinkie. Perhaps I shall book one of the silly sounding private dining rooms: Pang, Ping, or Pong. :-)

The chopsticks are solid silver and so heavy they fall out of your fingers, so at least you don't eat too much.
