Your cartons of fresh soup á la Covent Garden are all well and good, but when push comes to shove and your toe hurts, what you want is a bowl of tinned oxtail soup, complete with the odd bit of rubbery indeterminate meat. Possibly oxtail, more likely lip or arsehole.
