The two I have driven, some 20 years apart, were both absolutely dreadful. In pretty much every respect. I am convinced you will sort out the issues, mind.

will be spent on a small parasite that will almost inevitably grow up to hate me, pity me, and then take whatever morsels of my life remain when I die.

Wish I'd have spunked on her tits, quite frankly.

Build quality is unbelievably poor. And I saw the Metrocabs being built in Tamworth.

from their wives, due to not wanting to care for their children single-handedly for a week. What has happened to women's maternal instincts?

That Pankhurst woman has a lot to answer for

What I can tell you (but probably shouldn't) is that the current plan is for the new hybrid coupe to have a 1.3L Peugeot engine throbbing away under the bonnet.

And it's going to look more like an Audi A5 than an retro English sports car.

Form an orderly queue now imo.

Specification details are available on the Company's web site; here, it will suffice for us briefly to illustrate the ways in which Bristol have fulfilled their design brief:

Power
525/550 bhp as standard (power increases at high speed owing to the ram air effect on the intake system)
628/660 bhp with the uprated "S" engine
1012 bhp at 5600 rpm with the turbocharged "T" engine
The engine is extremely tractable: on the standard model, torque is 350 lb. ft. at tickover.
Speed
One of our members, who was lucky enough to be taken for a drive, attests that the Fighter will reach and hold 210 mph without drama.
For the "S" version, 240 mph is claimed.
The "T" version is theoretically capable of more than 270 mph, but is electronically limited to a “more than adequate†225 mph at 4600 rpm.
Handling
Tight turning circle (37'9")
48%/52% fore/aft weight distribution
Independent wishbone suspension fore and aft
Fuel tank mounted around centre of gravity
Safety
Rigid chassis, steel tube rollover structure and safety cage
Excellent all-round vision
Adjustable electronic traction control
