View Full Version : I thought Lou Reed's work was boring. Nothing special at all.

without your validation I'm actually going to revise my opinion and classify him as boring too from now on in.

This decision was in fact easy when I compare his lifetime "achievements" to someone as acutely gifted as yourself.

Have you ever considered a career as a music critic? Also...in order to save me some time is there anyone else who you would recommend me avoiding in future?

The Velvet Underground were always talked up here at the time and afterwards but in reality were mainly an interesting sideline. We'd listen to them because of the hype, think one or two tracks were very good and then stick the album at the back of the pile.

He was more about an attitude than anything stellar musically. If you did't subscribe to that attitude it mean't little.

I guess that in the UK the punks and the punk elements in the media would seek some legitimacy through him/them.
