not to be a fridge? We lost the latter years ago and never fixed it. The fridge is much easier to use without it.

I can't see how this is possible. So it will no longer close.

I tried to see if a nut or something off the bottom but I just can't see anything. A mystery.

Perhaps that WD40 I sprayed on it recently to stop it squeeking has f**ked it up.

And would make the kitchen look a tad better.

Get the manufacturer to send you the new slider or hinge (depending on the fridge) and jobzagudun.

I'm getting an urban Ray Mears vibe here.

And unlike your massive northern kitchen where the whole family dines, ours is a modest metropolitan indentation off the living room with the fridge behind the line-of-sight from the living room, so we don't really see it in the context of the kitchen.

All living in shoe-box sized spaces, originally designed to be single bedrooms but now converted into 4 bedroom flats. Travelling to work crammed into noisy tin boxes and pushed up against sweaty sandwich-shop workers. And everything costs twice as much as its worth.

I don't know how you do it.

I might go for a long walk to my neighbour's house....

We don't all have nine kids and a fleet of whippets to look after for a start. I walk to work, if it's not too wet (which unlike up there isn't every day), so no tin can for me. Anyway, the sandwich makers are in long before us.
