1) It gives us more options for getting the ball out from the back cos if MA and MF split, then the opponents can't press both and Per will always have an outlet.

2) It also means that our AMs, our trio of No.10s, can do their magic higher up the pitch.

With all our front 4 scoring, assisting and key passing, (or in English, playing well) then 4-2-3-1 suits us best.
