half-kit man, beret bloke and the various other c*nts who turn up to the Arsenal week-in, week-out and are regarded as - :shudder: - 'characters'?
A wrongun is a wrongun - whatever his enthusiasm may be.

Arsenal have scored a goal. The two are not remotely similar.
To score a goal is an achievement. Having functioning royal testicles is not.

God I feel better for a couple of pints. And yes, I am aware that that may not per se be a good thing.

Now then, due to eat alone tonight I had considered the option of a spag bol. I now find myself off the idea, but have a small packet of mince to deal with.
Mince sandwich, is it?

whether it's posting on awimb, checking our score, or attending a game, is a playing out of that devotion. I bet you spend more time engaging with Arsenal than these guys do with the royals.

No. You're right. Terrible idea. Can you imagine going to a pub on a Friday night? Awful. :-(
When I made a ragu the other day, I caught G sneakily eating a spoonful of the barely-fried mince with just the sofrito. :-(
To be fair, she had the decency to look thoroughly ashamed of herself, but she claimed to have grown up eating mince and onions. God, the north really must be awful. :-(

We all want lobster and chips of a Saturday; what else is there for lunch? Any other choice is a compromise or a cop out. But you can get great, GREAT lobster and chips at Randall & Aubin, or J Sheekey, or Scotts, or Bentleys, or any number of good seafood restaurants in London. What's the attraction of a place that also sells burgers?

Don't forget I grew up on boiled mince with a rake of spuds :-(
Why don't you swing by this way on your way home for a swift half only.

The appeal is firstly the price of the lobster (subsidised by the inflated price of the burgers). I know you can get better quality elsewhere in London, but the price point means you can gorge on an inordinate amount of the stuff (tomorrow I intend to order a lobster roll & a whole lobster) in an informal diner-type setting - as opposed to a posh clinky clinky seafood restaurant like J Sheeky - where you can get down n' dirty and flirt with the waitress, AND walk away with change from half a tonne, is the big draw.
