Looking for jobs is hard too as they use completely different terms.

I know what all this stuff means but some words sound ridicules when spoken with an English accent.

And even worse after a while I will develop one of those horrid North American/English hybrid accents.

Those dudes are like totally ****ers. :-(

For me my dad sounds canadian but he's been here over 30 years now but it's his family who notice his accent has changed.

My girlfriend will be interesting. She'll never lose her strong Italian accent but I've got her talking slightly cockney.
