I'm paying for Pires to stuff his gob with eggs, chips, beans and a sausage.

Almost.

My attendance record from April right through to May will be exceptional.

although it may have been the 24 hours of drinking that preceded the game that kept my body temperature up

I have a suspicion that the sausage-dam was originally stoner's invention, was it not?

Why do people drink Sambucca, by the way? And, more pertinently, why do they make me drink it? :-(

Be grateful it wasn't tequila.

with Joan of Arc. I failed to follow the logic, but she seemed quite loudly convinced.

Your book's here btw. I shall leave it on the coffee table until you collect it so that people think I'm a sort of trendy liberal type.

And thank you and V - I know you'll be perusing it avidly, though. ;-)

god knows - as usual i was having a row about the fact I wanted to buy 7 beers and yet they are only allowed to sell you 4 beers at a time.............as usual the good folk of the beer queue stepped in and someone stepped forward to order my 3 "extra" beers for which I brazenly also paid for. f**k knows why they bother with this ****. I assume its to help create the bonding experience between fans. abit like the army using the drill seargant as the common figure of hate to create squad unity (or something)
