I saw someone mention Russians and their savage behaviour further down on the board

The World Cup in women's bandy was played last weekend and the best Swedish team beat a Moscow side in the quarter finals. The Russian players physically attacked the Swedes after the game, attacking them with sticks and kicking them, with skates on. Worse than the worst scenes from NHL.

I have witnessed Russian teams where the players are so terrified of losing that they'll use pretty much any method to win, and if they don't they throw themselves down and cry. I think they get physically punished if the lose.

The worst example is Trefilov, the handball coach. The abuse the players get is beyond belief.

But still, these are strong men who have some unwritten rules when they fight, you never see ice hockey players attack eachother with sticks, nor do you see anyone kick another player with a razor sharpe skate edge.

The Russian women did this, against terrified girls, some of them quite young. Scandal.
