My other half has this thing where our rainy family days are greeted with that familiar rumbling of boxes coming out of the cupboard. "Let's play a game!" she says.

I dont think I've ever enjoyed a board game in my life. I feel painfully aware that there are whole generations of better games from post 1980 out there, largely on consoles and computers.

It's like the theatre, it's been rendered utterly obsolete by technological advances. Wilfully ignoring its obsolescence and pretending to enjoy it is soul destroying.

I didnt mention how everyone who likes board games should be shot, even though I feel that way after the third hour of monopoly.

I was merely requesting input on board games and their ****ness. What's more, apart from Risk, most people seem to concur.
