but f**k me, Cruz is about the nuttiest ******* of the fringe, even worse than Bachmann, Gohmert, Lee, Palin, West, Yoho! Paul Jr is bizarre rather than nuts, so I'll set him aside.

There is something wrong with Cruz, but I hope to heck he runs in 2016!

Only Todd Akin springs to mind as being quite as bat**** crazy.

But he is right enough on the issues to establish a strong following.

The tricky part is to remake the GOP into an effective force for financial conservatism and free market approaches to society's ills. Tough nut to crack with so many Republicans in seats so they can line their own pockets in cahoots with the Dems. Will take some election cycles, but Cruz is. A key component of that task.
