So this is their scam.

If you want a tyre fitted today or tomorrow, you can only do it by going into one of their centres and paying a shelf price for the tyre. If you can wait for 2 days, you can book online and pay an online price.

The difference between the 2 prices in my example? £97 to £197. What a fcuking scam. So basically if you get a flat tyre and need it replaced quickly, they will make an extra £100 out of you. I'm going to a local independent instead.

You put in your reg and it gives you a good range of shoes for your vehicle.

Then you pay their price and print of a token to go to one of a list of independent garages and they fit the tyre for you - the cost of fitting is included in the price of the tyre.

I would otherwise use a mobile fitter but I can't get one for tomorrow morning.

The independent I am going to use is a little bit further away so I will just crawl down there. New car without spare wheel :banghead:

Just one of those **** filler things and a compressor and I know it won't work cos the valve on the tyre is fcuked and I can't even pump it up at all.

But the independent garage I am going to use is less than a mile away. 3,500 feet so I will just go super slowly.

Theirs always a premium to be paid for immediacy, same as scarcity.

What do you drive with a 197 tire? I pay less than that for Michelin's on the porky.
