Going to be a midfield of Lampard/Gerrard/Milner hasn't helped.

To have Lampard or Milner in there ahead of him.

It could come good.

I pity the Masters Football team that faces them when it does

Thing is with international football you either get the whole patriotic thing that goes with it or you don’t. I like the big summer tournaments but tonight for example would much prefer to sit down and watch a really good team instead of watching Ireland because I am Irish.

Thankfully tonight we are playing Germany so my dilemma is sorted.

The whole thing of nations and identity confuses me.

As I mentioned Lampard is boring. He's not exactly Mr Personality.

Gerrard turns into Mr quiet whilst playing for England. he's not his normal diving/mongy/hands in the air looking at the ref player he normally is.

Milner. Again no personality and a bore. He even plays boring. He is the same as Barry.

Rooney. Not really interested.

Anytime I watch for an Arsenal interest they tend not to play that well. There is the odd exception.

I am very proud of being Irish and the natural and correct huge sense of superiority it brings in life.

Football wise though I support Arsenal, not Ireland. I suspect my apathy with regards the national team is linked to the steady decline in the team as I did enjoy things like 1988 and Italia 90 and the fact that it is genuinely difficult to watch them. I really don't like Robbie Keane either.

It is only a few years since that I regularly went to home games but that was as much for pints and to watch the opposition.

I had quite a difficult period post Thierry Henry and that goal. The what I saw as idiotic and retarded opinion of people got me in the odd scrape though my charm and ability to diffuse even the most incendiary situations won the day in the end.

They need to start thinking out the box like other countries....Germany don't have an issue with foreigners...don't see why it's a problem for England...if I was in charge Arteta would be the first name on theta sheet......
