Harry Balls

Hardly very English behaviour, in the nation's capital.

Peter

'Give him a good kicking' kind of guy anyway :-)

Luis Anaconda

just that five years doesn't make you English referring specifically to the Fifa qualifications. In other words he nuances of the debate so quite everyone and his granny (who is probably Irish anyway) needs to comment on the matter subsequently is a bit odd

Peter
10-09-2013, 11:31 AM
And presumably if you tackle hard you can play for england?

Flamini? :cloud9:

jumping on the words of a 21 year old kid and analysing them as if they're holy writ.

He's just a boy, for God's sake.

Not know for his eloquence, or conversational construct, our Jack. Knows his way around a footie field, twitter and a pack of tabs, though, to be fair.

if said nationality can simply be acquired by hanging around for five years in a country with which one has no familial or historical ties?

Does this whole debate not simply highlight the absurdity of international representative sport?

Can't we all just get along?

Snin

i just meant he looked far to happy and oik'ish

You're even more racist than me, which is quite a feat. wd b.

Buster died this morning. I had to take him to the vet to be cremated. We're going to have a wake and scatter his ashes.

Why I should necessarily feel any more kinship with some inbred from Nothumberland than furriners who have lived in the same neighbourhood as me for 10 years has never been properly explained.

Snin

maybe thats why Nic supports so many ? :-)

teams. This is what made the Tebbit Test such a ridicules nonsense.

Sorry about Buster, mate. :-( Did you just find him dead? Where are you going to scatter him?

Hillary

but very much in a plastic fan sort of way. Happy when we win; fairly unbothered when we lose.

I retain my staunch support for the cricketers though - not entirely sure why.

Sir Charlie of Nicholas
10-09-2013, 11:50 AM
He's had a good few extra months since we expected him to go, and at least he died in his field and not at the hands of a murderous vet.

We're going to scatter him in his field where in his younger days he decimated the rabbit population and fought with foxes.

I may have to take a glass of wine to keep me strong.

It is only a matter of time before england get a footballer who can pass and use both feet. What a cruel blow to our national pride that will be.

Berni

Much in the manner of the Greeks with a libation.

He did have a remarkably long innings by the sound of things. Better that he went naturally.

Well they are if you actually buy into all this 'three lions', 'playing for the shirt', 'bulldog spirit' crap as England fans and footballers all seem to.

Gloal environment instead of barking on about foreign ponces not putting a foot in?
