You mean apart from delaying medical treatment to people, including children, 800,000 workers furloughed just as we are merging from economic crisis, law enforcement working without pay, millions of people indirectly affected, FEMA being impeded as Hurricane approaches Gulf Coast, veterans worried that next week their VA benefits/payments are impacted.

I could roll on and on.

To summarize, I care about people, not just myself.
