Great arrangement imo

Regular long weekends
Reduced time and cost of commuting
I was doing the extra (unpaid over)time anyway so now get credit for it

I'm thinking of requesting a 4 day week, work/home life balance isn't right at the moment, im regularly putting in extra hours, kids and missus are getting a bit pissed off with the on-call stuff I do.

Do you take a day off midweek or Monday/Friday?

And I do regular weekends away on my motorbike so the Friday off allows that

because of core hours, so im thinking of saying if I do a long day on a Thursday and just take Fridays off it works out I do the same hours but get the extra day to get things done at home, spend a bit more time with the kids etc.

can he sorts me out, i'd just prefer something a bit more official, would be nice to be able to get the kids to school 1 day a week everyweek and pick them up etc.

I could do the shopping tidy the house, change the bed and any other jobs. The company I work for did refuse me Mondays and Wednesdays but I chosee Fridays for a long weekend. Its very common now that many people do cut their hours down.
