and the guy next to me felt a bit poorly and it lookd like he may puke or faint.

Told the restaurant staff and before we knew it an entire medical team rushed in with a stretcher bed and whisked him off to hospital.

Weird place, monaco.

Or perhaps the restaurant, being a place that sells food, did not have the requisite medical expertise to deal with the situation so they called the emergency services.

As PR goes, and I am not a professional in this area, a chap puking up or perhaps dying is not the best image for a restaurant.

All they asked was if he had drunken any alcohol (yes) if he was diabetic (no) and if he was on any medication (yes) before whisking him off. Can't imagine that happening in the uk.

If you consider he felt so bad as to bring it to the attention of the staff and to nosey fellow diners. If it was simply a sore tummy I imagine he would have soldiered on or nipped down to the jacks and put his fingers down his throat.
