but my daughter is also named in this way. In fairness, it's a diminutive of Margaret and I think we all know that's never going to be an option.

I could handle Benedict, mind. Benjamin makes you sound like some sort of butler though.

Never really worked out how that particular shortening worked, tbh.

Mind you, my daughter goes to school with someone named 'Tiggy'. I've no idea if that's short for something or just an incredibly retarded name to give a child.
