I couldn't stop feeling we are better off out of it rather than getting a thumping at home by Chelsea who will take it seriously whilst we will (rightly) play the kids again.

We may win, we may lose. I doubt we will get a hockeying all the same.

The Carling Cup is at the very bottom of the scale so continued involvement if we use resources the way we did last night is fine though I am not sure Wenger will go as weakened v Chelsea.

Part of me thinks we would be better off out of the CL as I think we may have a genuine run at the title this season but we're stuck with that for at least 5 more games.

I don't think the manager goes as weak as he did last night

I think the back 4 will be pretty similar for Chelsea, I think midfield/attack will probably be stronger given some of the players that are due to return from inury before that tie.
