role you're in, have you questioned the number of meetings?

I recently told my manager I'm limiting myself to 2 meetings a day, and no longer than 1 hour each, otherwise I cant commit to the meeting subject, he was happy with that, he'd rather I go to 2 meetings and actually be involved than 5 and coast through them quietly.

We have 3 managers and 3 supervisors with 10 people!

Now the whole time these managers spend most of the time justifying why this department exists. which is why they are so touchy on protecting their image and hiding any errors.

They are smart too. They have everything covered. If you bring any sort of problem up.
