pre twitter footbal clubs were in crisis after few bad weeks...the reactions in twitter age means clubs will seem to be in crisis after few bad days...

you need a calm manager who can avoid getting involved in this emotional roller coaster and has a bit of a distance to his job.

if harry redknapp was the spurs manager last season when they collapsed, hell would brake loose at spurs....but because of AVB's calm and 'so what life goes' on attitude, he managed to keep things under control, this is ofcourse one of wengers strengths.

mourinho looked like he lost his damn mind at real, he's allready cracking at chelsea, media headlines are no longer driven by few journalist who has good relationships with you, the masses in twitter set the tone now.

The positive over reaction by some to the return of Mourinho to the negative reaction to two defeats in a week.

I have not watched them kick a ball since the United draw so know nothing about the nature of said defeats. I did however see comments attributed to JM in the Times yesterday where he bemoaned the balance of the squad. Same squad he invested ****loads in this summer.

even by football standards.

I actually think it had a small, but significant, something to do with us signing young Mesut. If you believe that tweets count for anything to anyone, well, we took one hell of a beating over the Summer, negative publicity-wise.

Crucially, not just from actual football supporters either; mostly from people who would normally take no interest in the game itself or the soap opera that runs alongside it.

but his behavior towards his players, is what drove him out of real, he's already in conflict with mata and luiz, two key members from last season, the more the critics side with the players the more touchy he'll get, and create tension within the club.

this is different from his behavior at chelsea the first time and inter, where he made the key players love him and work their socks of for him and spent all his time attacking opponents through the media.

but the fact that it gives voice to unheard masses makes it an interesting phenomena imo

Hopefully the hands on our tiller are too firm to be swayed by twit-storms.

It all brings out my inner Peter Manion, tbh.

leadership? Arsenal cannot allow themselves to be blown about like corn, sacking managers and changing policies on the say-so of the mob!

In fairness, largely through the mob demanding fancy foreign players and fancy foreign managers and European Cup football every season in a shiny new stadium with big comfy seats while not being willing or able to actually pay for any of it.

Now we need the mob.
